Ben Smith from
Fangoria.com's blog has a great article on Grendel's Den Design Studio, which you can read
here.
I personally wanted to thank Ben for the feature. I greatly appreciate it.
The author that I was creating a portrait for is one of my all time favorites -
Gary A. Braunbeck. The piece is finally completed and you can check it out in the
GDDS Gallery.
There's also some new promotional material designs in the
GDDS Print Section.
I rarely show one of my art pieces before they're finished, but I am so damned happy with the progress of this one thus far that I have to show it off. This is an author's portrait, sans author right now since I don't want to let the cat out of the bag as to who it's for. I will give you a hint though - They're an award-winning author. Ha! Like that really narrows it down, right.
I'll be participating in the group showing
OBSCURA / Catwalk Tragedy, a two day event taking place on Friday May 1st and Saturday May 2nd at the
The Trocadero Theatre here in Philadelphia. There will be various performances including Live Not on Evil and Rigor Mortis Review and a few photography book releases. I'll be there for the first night OBSCURA so be sure to come out and support local Philly creativity.
I've uploaded a couple of new things: A new print design for the upcoming event
Power Strip Festival, which takes place July 10th and 11th at the
The Trocadero Theatre. There's also new a new piece of artwork entitled "FINAL CUT", which is also available as a
print!
This Friday and Saturday I will be participating at the
National Haunters Convention, which will be held at the
Valley Forge Convention Center. You can catch GDDS at booth 1105 so be sure to stop by. I'm also running a seminar "Building Your Online Presence", which will take place on Friday at 9:00AM.
Verizon, my Internet Service Provider, is experiencing outages throughout the Philadelphia region today and doesn't expect to have things back to normal until 1:00 PM (EST) today. This means that my online access will be sporadic until Verizon has this issue fixed later today.
Unfortunately I've had to cancel my appearance at next month's
Ravencon. Even though I won't be there I highly suggest that you check it out. It's one of the better SciFi cons on the East Coast in my opinion.
